I can’t recommend Emma at Caledonia Cremation highly enough.
Everything was handled with great care and in a timely manner. I was kept updated every step of the way and nothing was too much trouble.
The crematorium they use (Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley) is situated with great views over stunning countryside and the staff are lovely too. I couldn’t have picked a better organisation to handle my brother’s cremation.

When my dad passed away, I was devastated and heartbroken, lost and didn’t know what, where or when to do anything.
I had seen Caledonia Cremations on social media and have always read and been interested in the content.
I could never have imagined how close it would become to me.
My dad was very much a lone person, and that’s who he was and that’s how he wanted to stay after he passed. We spoke about it many times.
Caledonia Cremation was the perfect end to his journey in that was what he wanted.
I called and spoke to Emma Kelso who became an absolute tower of strength and support to me throughout this heartbreaking time, as I dealt with dads passing alone. She is an absolute angel!

It is a difficult field / business to measure customer ‘satisfaction’ but I would not hesitate in recommending Caledonia to anyone. In fact, I have actively promoted them to friends who were not aware such a service exists. I hope this changes over time as more people will become aware that there are other options out there. I would certainly have struggled to provide any sort of funeral for my brother had it not been for Caledonia.
Overall, I received an excellent service from Caledonia Cremation throughout the whole process in what was clearly a difficult time. Emma Kelso who dealt with my father in law’s cremation was superb. She was very compassionate throughout and extremely professional. She kept me informed at all times during and after the cremation. I can’t speak too highly of her. Even when there may have been a problem Emma was calm and assured me that she would sort things out, which she did. Even the two gentlemen who delivered the ashes to my father in law’s partner were professional and compassionate. An all round excellent experience in a time of upset, Caledonia Cremation were flawless in their dealings with myself and my family. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a direct cremation.
